November... this is Inna1, in progress. But there's more

coming soon. Harder paintings take longer. And even with Japan drier pieces like Inna1 (Malenky Mycc, if you know any Russian spelled badly -- Little Miss, pronounced the same as mycc) take days in between applications.

Rejoice, Disco Lives! Pitor Spins Anna in Arkadia

I know the name is corny, but it will break into smaller names nicely. My favorite is Disco Pitor.

Jayme and Deshawn

Got to sharpen some of the features and one or two minor boat details, but it's basically done.

Harder paintings: Only four on the bench

This one is tenatively "Rejoice, Disco Lives! Pitor Spins Anna in Arkadia"

One of those lite blue figures on the right is gonna be MB/Tolouse Latrec watching the can can in Odesa. Self-potrait in other words. Sorry for the glare, hard to get it all in one handheld snapshot. It's a big one.

Lena Loves Lviv at Christmas

Almost finished, this process is murder for realism, but kills 'em when I get it right...

Problem Child No. 1: Watching Them Grow

"Kat Kicks Haute Couture's Ass" is coming along, and come a long way. For a while she looked more like a sketch of Don Knotts as Barney Fife. It's fun to watch faces appear out of chaos, when it happens. Thank goodness for polyurethane and how resistant it is to new paint and thinner being used to wipe up spills. Obviously, she's not finished, but she's not Don Knotts anymore, either.

Tatyana Gets Rain Kisses

Respected gallery owner suggested more minimalism, so of course I try yet another direction... it's fun!

Slappin' for Cows, Monterey Bay, California, USA

Got to add the red buoy in the background to get perspective between bull and shore, but this is close enough for now. Kinda proud of this one, actual event, to scale. Pretty stupid skipperin' of me, getting so close to a bull Humpback signaling his availability to a pod of cows about five miles behind us unseen in this painting. July 4, 1995.

Lena Loves Lviv at Christmas

OK, I know your first thoughts, they're mine, too. But you know what? I think this one is gonna sing when I'm through. The face just peeps in, chin, jaw, cheeks to work on along with everything else, and the hair is only half-finished. But I think it will work.

I have one portfolio named "Euro Chix Vol. 1." "Lena" is the first up in "Euro Chix Vol. 2."

Wall of Wood...

No hidden meaning. To better transport and display pieces, and put them in an affordable size, I'm doing a lot of smaller mounted works. Here's some of the winners and losers, still in progress, for the chix. I also have some more sailing stuff coming in smaller formats, too.

I tellz ya, mixing skin color for darker people is not easy. Sienna, blue, green, orange, and so on. Yes, green.

Moving Along with Anna

Changing working names a bit... pardon the glare and focus on Anna, just wanted to show composition and color. Both in progress.

Red: Karina Dissolves Her Blues with Heat

Candy Likes Vamp Camp

I know, the eyes look like a Picasso knockoff. Well, read the blog name.

And More Girls

This isn't as good as sex, but it's cheaper than dating...

I have four on the bench and two sketched out for when I have room for more.

Pink = Candy Likes Vamp Camp

Ocean = Selena Sails South

Selena is the baddest girl in what I'm calling the Euro Chix 1 series. But Candy and another painting are bad girls, if you get the difference. These are obviously in progress. I think I'm gonna give Candy blue hair.

Girls Girls Girls

Four more on the bench. The blonde is Dana Discos Day and Night, the brunette Lanny Often Thinks of the Beach.

Don't know why they seem so dim to the camera. Took the pix in direct sun and the whites on these things POP in real life. Camera user error I'm certain.
